Owkin and Gustave Roussy partner to bring K Pro into real-world clinical practice

Owkin and Gustave Roussy, Europe's leading cancer center, today announced a partnership to test K Pro directly within the hospital's real-world clinical and research workflows.

K Pro is Owkin's AI scientist for biology research and drug development. It works like a tireless research collaborator: reading the scientific literature, reasoning across complex patient data — genomics, pathology, imaging, and clinical records — and generating and testing hypotheses to explain what drives each cancer. By connecting research to care, K Pro turns raw biological data into insights clinicians and scientists can act on.

Gustave Roussy brings what makes this test meaningful: Europe's largest cancer patient community, world-leading clinical and research expertise, and some of the field's richest multimodal datasets. The partnership pairs that depth with Owkin's AI to ask a practical question — does K Pro make a difference where it counts?

The collaboration puts K Pro to work where oncology decisions are actually made. A first focus is the molecular tumor board — the multidisciplinary model pioneered by Gustave Roussy to match patients to the most relevant therapies based on their tumor biology. K Pro will support these boards by surfacing evidence, interpreting complex molecular profiles, and helping clinicians reach faster, better-informed decisions for individual patients.

Beyond the tumor board, the two organizations will apply K Pro to Gustave Roussy's large multimodal tumor profiling programs, testing whether an AI-agent approach can generate insights that classical bioinformatics pipelines miss. By reasoning across genomic, pathology, imaging, and clinical data together, K Pro aims to accelerate discovery and reveal patterns that would otherwise remain hidden.
