Careers at Owkin
Candidate guide
Any recruitment applications must be submitted via our hiring process. For open positions and applications, please visit our Careers page.
What to expect during the process
You will likely be asked behavioral questions to learn about your past experiences on your CV. Our interviewers are trained in the STAR method, so the more you are familiar with the method, the better!
It’s important to think critically about what you are looking for in your next role. What kind of environment suits you? How do you best partner with peers and managers? What excites you? We want to know!
Curiosity is one of our four values here at Owkin. We love questions, so please ask as many questions as you’d like! We don’t expect you to know everything. You’re encouraged to be inquisitive and make your interviews conversational.
The recruitment process
Our process* will typically look like this:
- A preliminary phone screen with your talent partner
- A hiring manager interview with the person who would be your direct manager
- A technical interview/test/case study and/or presentation
- Peer interview(s) with Owkinaute(s) you will work alongside
- Leadership interview
*Your process may include less or more (types of) interviews, based on the role you are applying to.

Your talent partner is also available to answer any questions and explain in depth what to expect during the recruitment process.
How we evaluate
FAQ: Remote interviews
You will receive a calendar invite with a Google Meet link you’ll use to connect to each interview. You can find your video link in the interview confirmation email you will receive once the date and time is confirmed. If you are not familiar with Google Meet or do not use Chrome as your browser, we recommend testing out one of the links beforehand to avoid any last-minute troubleshooting.
Your talent partner will reach out to discuss your interview, your concerns, and any further questions you might have. We will also outline the next steps in the process so we are all on the same page. Feel free to also send some thoughts to us after the interview or any questions you may have.
FAQ: Onsite interviews
Interviews can already be stressful, so we want you to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. We pride ourselves on simplicity and creativity and this extends to how you choose to dress. The team you will be meeting will likely be dressed in casual wear such as jeans and t-shirts.
You don't need to bring anything, we have it covered! Pens and paper, coffee, snacks, etc. are all available to you during your interview. If you are hosting a presentation, be sure to send the presentation to your talent partner ahead of time.
We have a private space dedicated as a mothers’ room in the building lobby “L’espace Bien être”. If you need at any point to use the space, let your talent partner or coordinator know and we’ll be sure to accommodate your schedule and have the room ready for you.
The majority of our interviews are done through Google Meet as we are an international company and have colleagues based in different locations. If you receive an invitation to visit our offices, we can help arrange your travel ahead of time, including plane, train and/or taxi to and from your location.
Your talent partner will reach out to discuss your interview, your concerns, and any further questions you might have, as well as outline next steps in the process. If you have any questions before then please contact our talent coordinator.
